BTS of the artwork…

I thought I’d include a bit of backstory behind my latest artwork “Memory Place”. I used photogrammetry to create the work which is a matter of using a sequence of overlapping images of a space and processing them in photogrammetry software to create a 3D visualization of the environment.

Since the project was created right at the beginning of the pandemic, I could not travel back home to take the photos necessary for the piece. So, my family became my collaborators as I had to direct my father and mother over zoom to capture the sequence of images in order to complete the photogrammetry scans. All in all, I think this is what made the project so special and personal for me.
